Companies records within ServiceNow

As part of an ongoing data validation exercise within our CMDB we've been tasked with making sure that all of our Companies records (Details for Vendor and Manufacturer Companies) are complete with a contact number, email, address and anything relating to specific support where needed are included.
However, we're finding that there are thousands of records pre-existing and more being created that contain only a company name and with no associated product models.

I've not been able to find anything which states if this is by design of ServiceNow and if so why.
Also i believed that any data pushed to ServiceNow instances was validated by the ServiceNow Content Service so surely from a data standpoint incomplete records should not be created and pushed into ServiceNow missing key info even something like a 'Contact Us' URL so we can input the relevant country office address and contact number.

Hi @Mike88 

The pre-existing data is demo data, and the same happened with us. For our new customer, we received user and company data as demo data in our instance. You can raise a request to delete the demo data, and then you will only have the data loaded by your command.
