Hi All,
We are trying to update the IP address manually . The agenda is that the server and VM Instance IP should have the same IP address . We tried to update the IP Address manually but when the discovery runs it revert back servers to the previous IP address .
Points to be noted :
I know there is OOB system properties which will stop the overriding of IP address . Please find the properties for the reference .
- glide.discovery.enforce_ip_sync
- glide.discovery.exclude_ip_sync_classes
- glide.discovery.enforce_unique_ips
The requirement is how can we stop the overriding by not updating the system properties . I don't want to touch the OOB properties . Is there way to achieve this ? Or if we have update the glide.discovery.enforce_ip_sync to FALSE . How will it impact the servers or discovery ? Please help in this regard.

How you are getting virtual machine instance? Are you doing cloud discovery?

Hi,
You may try with Reconciliation rules like this on the Server Class. Here you are configuring something like give 1st priority to manual entry and next to Servicenow/any other cloud discovery.
Thanks,
Narsing
