I am looking to create a ACL to bypass the following article or existing UI Policys / Access control list to be able to edit the form for alm_consumables_list:
Article:
- For each of these 2x ACL records:
- record/write: alm_asset.
https://<instance>.service-now.com/sys_security_acl.do?sys_id=1d7fd8291b702000aebbfbcd2c0713c1 - record/write: alm_asset.*
https://instance>.service-now.com/sys_security_acl.do?sys_id=4dd436dd3737100044e0bfc8bcbe5db3
- record/write: alm_asset.
Is their a way to edit the form for consumable asset based on a specific role?

From the context menu of alm_consumable table, click on Configure>All. Here you can look into everything that is configured for this table. That would help to troubleshoot.

Yes. As per OOB roles configuration, Asset role should be able to do that once you modify the ACL to remove the restriction. If that is not possible, there should be some customization of the access rights in the instance. But even in that case, the role which is currently able to modify alm_consumable records should be able to make the updates after the restriction is removed.

@Ashok Sasidhara I removed oob acl and I provided asset role and they still can not edit on the form level even as admin it can not be editted I am very confused on what is causing it I assume perhaps ui policy just making it read only?
