How to discover AWS infra components using servicenow discovery but without AWS Discovery plugin

Hello Experts, 

I need your help to understand one the requirement that i got yesterday. I was told to work on task about how can we discover AWS infra components like Firewall & SSR routers and virtual machine .But we do not have AWS Discovery plugin. But we do have ServiceNow discovery.

Could you please guide me on below queries ? :

1) Is it possible to discover AWS component without AWS Discovery plugin and without Cloud management plugin 

2) If answer to my 1st query is Yes ,then could you please share any link or KB that will help me to work on configuration part ?
