Need help on asset management requirement

If the asset is onboarded to  Hardware table and the relevant asset category is updated later in hardware model table, the business rule defined is failed to update the End of Life and BR is working only when asset category is updated first in hardware model table and then asset is onboarded to Hardware table where the BR rule is working.
please help me on this requirement.

The problem cannot be understood without some additional information. Can you elaborate with the following information?

1. Are you using HAM pro or ITSM asset management?

2.  Is it an OOB BR or a custom one? If OOB, please provide the name

3. By asset category update, did you mean that the 'model category' field was updated for that model?

4. How is the data loaded to asset table? Is it manually or is it getting created as part of automated CMDB data population? Are new models getting created as part of the data load?
