Stop MSSQL Database through ServiceNow discovery

Hi Team,

 

We have MSSQL Instance in CMDB and those are captured in the cmdb_ci_db_mssql_instance, however we would like to stop creating Database of MSSQL instances in cmdb_ci_database. Will this impact my existing discovery data and Service Configuration Item Associations table or Service Mappings.?

Hi @Bkanagaraj ,

 

You can not stop creating to the database instance table as that table is parent and it will hold all the instance information in single place.

 

It will be a pure custom solution and it will definitely impacting multiple things, be careful before doing this.

 

My suggestion is do not this, as this not impacting anything for you , i just storing the MSSQL instance data to database instance table because database instance table is parent.
