Submit button

In catalog item in portal settings if i select submit,  i am not able to see it in catalog item ui but i am able to see that in service portal .
Condition is i need a submit button if i select that i need a report generated in other page 

How to fix this issue or how to change behavior of submit button.

are you saying you want to show/hide submit button based on some variable user selects?
