Task 05: Configure Desired State Audit Rule

REQUIREMENT:

1. As the Cloud Dimensions CMDB administrator, using CI Class Manager, configure a desired state audit to meet the following requirements:

Certification Filter:

• Named Windows Servers Filter and includes all Windows Servers
• Note: The certification filter defines the scope of the audit which in this case includes all Windows Servers in the CMDB

Certification Template:

• Named Windows Servers Template and includes certification attribute conditions for Operating Systems that are Windows 2012 R2 Standard, Windows 2016 Standard, Windows 2019 Datacenter
• Note: The certification template determines what criteria is being used to pass the audit, which in this case includes the 3 operating systems listed

Audit:

• Named: Windows Audit and is configured to audit which Windows Servers are certified on Windows 2012 R2 Standard, Windows 2016 Standard, Windows 2019 Datacenter and which Windows Servers are not
• Note: The audit references the template and when run, fails all Windows Servers that are NOT 2012 R2, 2016, or 2019
  
  Hi. I have a question for you.I got stuck on creating the certification template and audit in this task. I found Certification Filter, Certification Template and Audit under Windows Servers/Health/Compliance and by following the guidance, from Certification Template, I do not see Table amd Attribute Conditions (Please see attachments) so I figure this must be wrong. It would be

Operating Systems is one of  

Windows 2012 R2 Standard

Windows 2016 Standard

Big thanks to you, I was able to complete Task 05. You are the rock star~!

By the way, are you preparing for CIS-DF exam these days?

I am trying to study for the exam by the end of this month but I still do not have confidence to pass it since the material has covered so many contents I should fully understand to do well in the exam. 

If you prepare for it or already passed it maybe you can give me some good tips and advice.

These labs and Servicenow recommending training materials are must to do so but wish I have more time to complete it plus the sample exam.

Yes, I have successfully completed the CIS-DF certification.

My suggestion is to thoroughly complete the CMDB, CSDM, and Health Deep Dive courses along with all the labs and quizzes from ServiceNow University. Those are very important for understanding the concepts clearly.

After completing the training materials, start practicing mock tests that are available online sites.

The sample exams and hands-on labs really help build confidence for the actual exam. If you practice consistently for the next few weeks, you should be able to clear it successfully by the end of the month. Good luck with your preparation!

Did you get your CIS-DF certification recently? Or last year?

 
I wonder how long it took for you to complete all of those reading, quizzes and the labs. To me, reading and making the note for CMDB is difficult since the concept is hard to comprehend fully. Plus the labs are tricky to complete since I am a novice user for labs. Now I am stuck on Task # 6 where I had to change the filter for instance. i was worried I would not be able to complete it within a day so I extended it for another week today. If I am really stuck and can't seem to meet the due date for labs I would request for your help if you do not mind. Thanks a bunch. 

Ok. Memorizing the questions and answers of 200 mock tests will not be helpful after all.

My exam is on 29 May and while working full time other than the weekends focusing on study daily has been tricky and did not make much progress spending too much for reading the materials and the labs too. I may need to postpone the test for another month before the end of June.  Or just giving up the opportunity to take the test for free by June and take the one afterwards. It costs $450 after June I heard.

As you can see from the attachments, my number is TEM0001009 and I can't add more than one operating system, Under choose field, it is not available any more. I must have been doing something wrong.
