Here is the suggested relationship from the class manager.

Why is the business service mapped to the business application rather than the business capability?

Hi @Robert Campbell  Once you will install Application Portfolio Management plugin (com.snc.apm) ,you will see business capabilities under suggested/All relationship.

Try to install the APM .

Hope it will help you.

Thanks,

Harsh

Hey Robert,

Have you checked to see if the CMDB CI Class Models is up to date?  (All > System Definition > Plugins)   When I look at our CI class manager I see the relationship to business capability:

(We are up to date with CMDB CI Class Models ver 1.53.0)

HTH.

I just updated to 1.53.0 but the relationship rules didn't update. Also, this is my Vancouver PDI that I just acquired.

Interesting.  You are right in that it is different.  I fired up a PDI and installed the CSDM Activation and Foundations plugins, and I see the same as you.  In my company actual instances we have a bunch of other products installed, which makes me think it might be one of them, such as Service Mapping, Discovery, APM, etc.  You may want to try installing/adding plugins that indicate they impact the CMDB?

Wish I could offer a more direct answer...
