Team,
Good day.
Have been working for TPM / TRM Implementation now under Enterprise Architecture Workspace (earlier APM). SAMP Pro is enabled too.
Trying to get the Tech Debt and Risks calculated for Software products and business applications to get the data updated under Techology portfolio under EA workspace. Based on current understanding, I have mapped UI tabs to its corresponding tables too below.
Technology Portfolio | ||||
TRM Catalog (tab 1) | Technical Debt (tab 2) | TPM Lifecycles (tab 3) | TPM Risk (tab 4) | Technology portfolio audit (tab 5) |
sn_apm_trm_standards_product | sn_apm_trm_standards_technical_debt | sn_apm_tpm_discovered_technology | apm_app_indicator_score | sn_apm_tpm_technology_lifecycle_exception |
Question 1:
Would the following 4 scheduled jobs sufficient to run to get the data updated under Techology portfolio under EA workspace. The reason for this question is still have few data areas blank under EA Workspace > Tech Portfolio. Are there any other pre-requisites? For example, there are no records under TPM Risk as there are no records with Indicator as Technology Risk in apm_app_indicator_score. There are records with other indicators though. The table sn_apm_tpm_technology_risk is empty too.
Seq | Job Name |
1 | Populate TPM Discovered Technologies and Lifecycles |
2 | Populate Technology Lifecycle Risks |
3 | Populate TRM technical debts in the EA Workspace |
4 | Load TPM Risk Parameters and compute Application Service Risks |
Question 2:
While I could see Business applications relationship to Application Services (Consumes) using CMDB query, but none of the Tech Portfolio data / reports in the 5 tech portfolio tabs / tables mentioned above have the business application value (all are blank). Any potential reason for this scenario of Business application being blank all the tables mentioned against the tabs.
Question 3:
When I compared the software products in cmdb_software_product_model (Assuming this table as the most reliable table that holds software products in use) and the products in sn_apm_tpm_discovered_technology, there is large difference, and sn_apm_tpm_discovered_technology has only few products compared against cmdb_software_product_model.
Have been going through the Script includes for the jobs mentioned above. But, any help on the above questions would help to get additional clarity.
Thanks

Try this
- Ensure the svc_ci_assoc table is populated with Server CI Class for respective Application Services related to business application
- Ensure you have Application Scoring profile field populated on Business Application Record with respective scoring profile in order to be able to generate Risks
- Re-run the job sequence, you should see Risks and Tech Debts populated
If problem persist, please post queries in Enterprise Architecture Community for wider visibility.
