Hi Dear All,

I have one question regarding creation field in Service Builder, I just checked that we have catalog item for "Create a technical Service" item.

I opened this catalog item and create a field, and after clicking the try it option, I can see that field "model id" created.

But when I verified again in Service builder , I cant see the field "model id"

Pls help me how to add field or is there any option for publish it.

Thanks,

Hi Mehak,

Not all table fields are in the Service Builder. You should however be able to add the field if needed.
The record producer I think is customer as I haven't seen it before.

Good day Mehak,

that is to be done in the UI Builder. To be honest I haven't tried it myself yet.

Hi @mehak1890 ,
A bit late but I just came across this. For anyone else looking, to add fields to the Service Builder:

  1. Find the Catalog Item that corresponds to the type of Service (e.g. "Create Business Service CRP" for Business Service)
  2. Add your new variable to that Cat Item and map to your target field
  3. Navigate to Service Catalog Wizards -> Maintain Wizards and find your target wizard: WesleyGovis_0-1710338435505.png
  4. Determine where you want the new field displayed and add it via Catalog Wizard Question:WesleyGovis_1-1710338608731.png

In short, you need to add it to the Catalog Wizard and not just the record producer.
You're effectively following the steps outlined in https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/tokyo-servicenow-platform/page/product/service-catalog-management...

As always, we want to be careful with this and always scrutinise which fields we're adding and if they're really adding value.

Best,

Wesley
