Real World examples of CSDM?

The white paper is an improvement on what was available 24 months or so ago.  Back then even the SN consultants on site couldn't explain how to best set-up the service hierarchy, but the white paper mentions use cases to come and finding real -world examples of how the CSDM can be implemented still seems to be missing and I think this could help explain the concepts to a lot of people.

Is anyone aware of any resources that explain the theory via real-world examples (use cases)?

Most of the papers, courses etc. from ServiceNow is very technology/data model perspective, they does not really describe or give examples from real life, not sure why. 

I did some month ago an implementation / HLD Design for a customer mapping

  • Infratructure and Cloud Services
  • O365 Services
  • Various Business Application they were using

Imo, it all comes down to how/what the customer is focusing on, customer services, technical services, how many level of support services they have.

I think it would be helpful if SN modelled the ServiceNow platform within the PDI CSDM (or in a doc) so we have a concrete model of how it can be used.  I suspect 10 systems analysts in a room will model a single process in 6-8 different ways though.
