Close notes required on CSM portal

Hi all, currently trying to configure my instance to require additional comments on case when closed through the CSM portal. Under the actions dropdown, there's a close case button. When clicked, it only asks to confirm that you want to close the case. I need notes as well. I've created a UI policy and it doesn't seem to work in the portal. Any ideas?

share screenshot and what have you configured?

Possibly you might have to make some portal related changes

that UI policy won't work on portal while closing the case.

Have you exposed the notes field on the ticket conversation widget?
