CSM Order Management Options

Hey all,

 

I've been exploring the Order Management offerings from ServiceNow, and have received a few conflicting messages, depending on who from ServiceNow I speak to.

 

In Vancouver, ServiceNow offers three different Order Management applications:

- sn_ind_tmt_orm
- sn_om_tmt
- sn_csm_order_mgmt (not to be confused with com.snc.csm.order)

 

The ServiceNow docs call-out sn_csm_order_mgmt being planned for future deprecation here and I see references here by @ShashankInamdar to a "converged" application which I assume is now sn_ind_tmt_orm with sn_om_tmt being the OMTMT component that can be added on-top.

 

I would love to see if anyone in the community is able to provide further insight.

This is rather old, but nobody responded and I'm doing a bit of the same assessment...

It doesn't seem like "Order Management" [sn_csm_order_mgmt] is being planned for future deprecation in the link you provided. I see "Order Management for Customer Service Management" listed in the deprecation section. The "Order Management for Customer Service Management" is the older [com.snc.csm.order] plugin that you noted is different (not to be confused with) than "Order Management" [sn_csm_order_mgmt].

Looking at the Changes to plugins in the Xanadu release, I see "Order Management for Customer Service Management" [com.snc.csm.order] listed for planned deprecated and the "Details" column states "Install the new Order Management application from the ServiceNow Store." which presumably means "Order Management" [sn_csm_order_mgmt] is the path forward (unless using specific TMT/TPSM/SOM functionality).

I presume given the length of time since this original post, this is probably what you ended up working out as well?
