Hi All,
We have noticed that images we embed into the Article Body (HTML) field of a knowledge base article shows up as an attachment in the portal view of the article. We do not want embedded images to show up as an attachment. We only want files we add as "Attachments" to show up under the Attachments section of the article in the service portal.
Is there a way to change this?

Hey Pam, I assume though this would mean all attachments would not list right? As there would be times where we would want some attachments listed and others (images) that we don't.

I asked this question long ago because it is not a great user experience. I would love for ServiceNow to have a solution for this because the image files as attachments cloud the view for the user. Lauren Mathena shared this solution with me which we've found helpful:

Also, we use the Service Portal to create knowledge base articles
This is interesting - I'm not familiar with how this works - can you explain further how you have this set up?
