How can we edit the catalog item variable values after submission before approval?

I have a requirement where approver must be able to tweak some values of request (variable values for that request) , before approving it. Is there a way to achieve it?

Really sorry for being so casual. Actually by Request I mean the RITM buddy. Its the RITM which has everything. But wait .

First let me know exactly what you want to achieve. Do you just want to make the fields editable for an approver?

Let me know in detail and we can filter out the complex parts of the work.

I have a service catalog where user fills in values they wish say for example a string variable called name.

The approver sees a typo in it.

He wants to correct the typo before approving it. because his approval would automatically create a record with given name .

So i need to provide ability to the approver to correct the variable values which was entered by the user.

In   the RITM, I can see the variables are all grayed out. I tried setReadonly,setDisabled to false in catalog clientscript in RITM view, but no luck .

Would be glad of any help.

Hi Prasanna,

Can you try looking at the variable dictionary and check if "Write roles" is not set to admin (sometimes the default value is admin)
