How to configure multiple views for CSM Configurable workspace?

We have a form view (on the Case table) in the native UI which shows the variables (via variable editor) and a few other fields in the native UI. We need the same UI in the workspace. However, if the form layout of the "workspace" view is modified, all the teams who work on the Case will be affected. As this view was configured to cater to a set of audiences.

I see the workspace view rule can be used to use a view based on the condition. But, with this - we can't see "Variables" on the form if we try to enforce the Custom View. The custom view shows up in the workspace, but the variables in the layout do not show. If we have workspace rules, and this seems to be the limitations, what's the use of the workspace view rule? and why there are no multiple views for "workspace" similar to native view.

The Workspace view should be for the workspace. The Default view & Case view should be used for desktop UI.
