Hi, 

is it possible to schedule Announcements, for example to only show during weekends?

We would like to display some contact information only during weekends, do I have to create a new announcement for every weekend of the year?

you can create the Announcement in "announcement" table.

To schedule an announcement in ServiceNow to go out on the weekend, you can follow these general steps:

 

1. **Access Announcement Management**: Log in to your ServiceNow instance and navigate to the Announcement application.

 

2. **Create a New Announcement**: Click on the "New" button to create a new announcement.

 

3. **Fill in Details**: Provide the necessary details for your announcement, such as title, message, and target audience.

 

4. **Set Schedule**: Look for the scheduling options. Depending on your ServiceNow version and configuration, this might be under a "Schedule" tab or a similar section. Here, you can set the start date and time for your announcement. Make sure to select the weekend dates and times that you want the announcement to go out.

 

5. **Recurrence**: If you want the announcement to repeat on weekends, set the recurrence pattern accordingly. Choose the appropriate recurrence frequency (e.g., weekly) and select the days of the week (Saturday and Sunday) when you want the announcement to repeat.

 

6. **Save**: Once you've filled in all the details and set the schedule, save the announcement.

all good except for the recurrence part, as there is nowhere to edit this on the form.

I know that it is possible in Targeted Communications, but apparently not in Announcement.

 

Running CSM on Vancouver if that helps.
