Backing Out My Update set

Hi All,

I want to back out a bunch of configurations which I made for a particular catalog item. I have committed my update set and when I click BackOut, I am getting the below message :

The change was not backed out because changes were made to the record after the update set was committed. You can still revert to a particular version from the record

Kindly advise on how to proceed with that.

Regards,

Hi Sundaresan,

You're welcome. In the future, to avoid problems in backing out update sets, please do not make any changes after the update set was committed. Please mark my answer as correct. Thanks.

Versions are available in a related list. You may have to add the related list to your form layout. They allow you to revert to an earlier copy/version of your work on that record. I typically use them on records where script is involved.

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

Do I need to open all the Records i.e. all the Test Service Request raised against that Catalog item? or Can I revert to the old version in the Back out Problem form itself?

Regards,

Sundar

Hi Sundar,

I don't know. You may be able to revert the one file and them back out or you may have to manually revert all the files modified in that update set. I would start with the first scenario. If it goes beyond that, enlist the help of customer support.

I recommend reaching out to customer support. I'll be interested to hear what they have to say.

Hi Sundaresan,

If you want to really back out the update set, click all the problems and then click Back out button. After backing out all the problems, you will be able to back out the update set. Don't forget to delete the Update Set to the Update Sources. Let me know if this helps.
