I need to change the wording from request to tickets instead, PFB attachment.

3 ACCEPTED SOLUTIONS

Hello Snehal,

You won't be able to edit it from the list view.
Can you instead:
1. Change application scope to employee center
2. Open the activity record "Requests"
3. Change the activity name to "Tickets".

If that still does not work, please provide a screenshot of the whole screen (including the related list "Activity access")

Feel free to hit the thumbs up button if the above was helpful.

To change the label on a widget in ServiceNow, you can follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Service Portal Configuration page.
  2. Click on the "Widgets" option.
  3. Search for the widget you want to modify.
  4. Click on the widget to open it.
  5. In the widget's HTML template, find the text you want to change. It should be within double curly braces {{ }}.
  6. Replace the existing text with the new label you want to use. For example, replace "request" with "tickets".
  7. Save your changes.

Please note that you should have the necessary permissions to modify widgets. Also, be careful while modifying the HTML template as it can affect the functionality of the widget.

If you want to change the label only for a specific instance of the widget (not all instances), you should clone the widget and make your changes in the cloned version. Then, use the cloned widget in your portal.

@Snehal

I tried on my personal instance and its working. are you an admin user?

Couple of points here, Make sure you are in correct application scope , you should be in "Employee Center Application" scope .

Once you will open record then you can see, on which scope this record has been created. then make the changes.

Attached screenshot for your reference. You can see , word changes working at my end.
