CMDB report to fnd Servers not mapped to Application using CMDB Query Builder?

I am new to this CMDB Query Builder. We have established relationships between Server and Applications, but there are servers which are not yet mapped with Application.

How can i extract a report using CMDB Query Builder which will fetch the Servers which are still not mapped ?Please advise.

Thanks & Regards

Biswajyoti,

First, select 'Server' from the CMDB Artifacts on the left of screen (Hardware -> Computer -> Server) and drag it into the query builder.

Next, select 'Application' from the CMDB Artifacts on left of screen and drag it into the query builder. Hover over Application 1, click the filter icon, and apply a filter 'Class - Is - Application'.

In the query builder, hover over 'Server 1' and click the checkbox on the right. Then hover over 'Application 1', and click the checkbox on the left. This makes a connection from Servers to Applications.

The Connection Properties box will open. Under 'Application 1[Parent] - Server 1[Child]' check the No Relations box, and click confirm.

This query will ask "What servers are not the child in a relationship with an application". Press Run and you'll have your results.
