Vancouver release
We have a custom glossary for catalog items. I was hoping to achieve this by
a. Adding custom attributes to a Catalog Item Template, or,
b. Adding custom fields/attributes to a Catalog Item
I am not able to find a way to implement either approach. I would appreciate any pointers.
Thanks

You want to add variable to Catalog item via catalog builder template right?

In the attached screenshot, the Catalog Item Access (this is from a developer instance of the Vancouver release) has vendor, rank tier etc as attributes. In a similar manner, I have a need to add additional attributes that provide business metadata for the catalog item. I wanted to know if there was a way I could provide that. The Questions that you are alluding to above are inputs that users must provide.

These are fields not the variable right? If you want , you can create another field but it is a customization.
Will this not work OOTB

I found this https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0832208 which talks about adding custom attributes to a CMDB entity. I was hoping there would be something similar for catalog items
