Hello,
I noticed we have a few expense lines that are not adding up with the purchase order. We have this radio antenna that was $369.85 on the purchase order, but when its used as an expense line item it is showing up as $376.93. I can't find where that difference of $7.08 is coming from. I have seen a few items like this as well. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

As a ServiceNow expert, I can suggest a few potential reasons for this discrepancy. However, without more specific information about your ServiceNow configuration and business processes, it's hard to provide a definitive answer. Here are some possibilities:
1. Tax or Additional Charges: The difference might be due to tax or additional charges that are added when the item is expensed but not included in the original purchase order.
2. Currency Conversion: If your organization operates in multiple currencies, the difference could be due to currency conversion rates changing between the time the purchase order was created and the time the expense was recorded.
3. Rounding Errors: ServiceNow might be rounding numbers differently in the purchase order and expense modules, leading to small discrepancies.
4. Configuration or Customization Issues: There might be a problem with how your ServiceNow instance is configured or customized. For example, there might be a script or workflow that's modifying the expense amount.
5. Data Entry Errors: The discrepancy could be due to a simple data entry error, either when the purchase order was created or when the expense was recorded.
To investigate this issue, you could:
- Check the tax and additional charges on the expense line item.
- Review the currency conversion rates if applicable.
- Look at the rounding rules in your ServiceNow instance.
- Examine any scripts or workflows that interact with the purchase order and expense modules.
- Verify the accuracy of the data in both the purchase order and the expense line item.
