On the mobile app I am looking to:
- scan a barcode to find an asset record
- Open the record
- Assign to a person
- set state
- OR

I’m using these already, what this doesn’t do is let me scan a barcode to find the asset, only allows me to go into an asset, and then I can update that field.
Imagine I get a list of 100000 asset, and I scan your barcode, and it gets me to that asset. I can then go into the record, and update.

Maybe you could improve the Search Asset functionality so that it will be more easy to find the Asset.
Here you could find some more interesting information, have a look:

This is going the right direction. Found an issue where I try to scan an asset record, but it is not searching against the field I want. It seems it is looking at a linked field - configuration item name. Also odd is that when I set that up to match my serial number, it doesn't return until I remove the last digit. Almost like it needs to "see" me type in the field.
