Found an variable in a catalog item which is not working properly on changing language

Hi! I had a issue in a catalog item in which i found a varaible in a IT4u portal. Which is not working properly as expected when we switch it to other languages other than English. The problem is, when the language is set to English then there is a dropdown visible in the variable but when we switch the language setting to any other language then the variable dropdown is showing none.

 

Can anyone let me know how to check the root cause of the issue?

Should people guess the current configuration so they can then identify the root cause?

Or better still, would you share the current configuration of the variable?
