How queries are formatted when we do group by?

Hello friends,

 

When I do the Group By against field Discovery Source against the CIs listing in cmdb_ci_hardware table, and then click on Open in new Tab, in new opened tab, CI listing is opened but with updated Query which has Class is one of (LIST OF CI CLASSES).  Do we know how this query gets formatted? Any idea?

@rafaelramos0  I am not sure why this query is being added like this: sys_class_nameIN

 

@Brad Bowman  I checked in PDI too, the behavior is different. No longer adding query.

 

I have reached out to SN support. Lets see what they update. I will keep you posted.

In your instance do you have a default filter when you view the list via cmdb_ci_hardware.list in the left nav, or does it show all records?

Hello Brad,

 

It shows all the records.

There is Query Before Business Rule, but it acts on non-interactive interaction. So, when I do cmdb_ci_hardware.list  it shows all records.
