How to add a field in the preview of a related list record?

Hi Community,

 

I have a 'Project' table which has related list named as 'Status Report'. So the preview of Status Report record shows the fields present at the top of Project form but not the fields present under section.

 

So, there is a field named as 'Executive Summary' present under 'Details' section of 'Status Report ' form.

Please help me to add that field when previewed.

I have gexplored various resources and got to know that only top fields of form can appear on preview. Is there any solution to this?

You may need to configure the System Dictionary for the referenced table

You can modify the fields displayed in the record preview by following these steps:

  1. View any Status Report record.
  2. Right-click in the header and choose Configure > Form Layout.
  3. Select Not Now if prompted to use Form Builder.
  4. In the View Name field select Sys_popup.  If this doesn't exist, select New... and create a View with the name Sys_popup

    5.  Add, remove and/or re-order whatever fields you'd like from the Selected box.

    6.  Click the Save button.  These fields will now be seen when previewing a record.

This is a tried and true method.  Some more information would be great.  Show a screenshot of your Sys_popup view configuration
