How to create an academic year calendar?

Hi all,

We are tasked to create the ability for student to submit NEW courses via App form or Catalog item.  

Challenge: 

1- how to create an academic year calendar to auto populate. 

Example, 2023-2024, 2024-2025, 2025-2026, and so on

or/if not 

2- how to create an academic year calendar to be manually selected.

Example: If the current academic is year = 2023-2024, then the student would only have the option to select 2023-2024

Well the infrastructure for this has to be built out in the schedule area. Where you set up Schedules like School Year. Then when you load this up you can try to restrict how far it goes. Or create one schedule for every year and do the upkeep to replace it on the catalog or a script to load the correct one dynamically as time goes by. The main starting point is to explore schedule creation and see what options this gives you.
