How to provide the visibility of the inactive groups to all the group members

Hi all, 

In our system, we have inactivated some old groups and added a condition that only the assigned to persons can only have access to see the cases which are assigned to them. As an additional requirement we have extended the visibility so whoever is on the watchlist and collaborators also can able to see the cases.

But now we wanted to provide visibility to the old assignment groups to all the respective team members.

1. If I activate the Assignment group not only the respective group mem everyone who has read and writes access can able to see cases.

2. These groups should not show up in the lookup value in the case form but it is showing up.

what are all the possible ways to achieve this ..?

Are there any COE ACL's in place for the cases to be visible for only assigned to persons? or any other configuration in place?

If you know from where that configuration is set up, you could set the visibility for all without re activating the assignment groups.

@poornima batchu I understand that you have restricted the visibility of incidents to the assignment group members, watchlist users. Also you do not want the retired groups to be available for assignment/reassignment in the incident screen.

Could you clarify on this statement "But now we wanted to provide visibility to the old assignment groups to all the respective team members." where do you want these groups to be available? on the list view for search?
