Language file not working on Value field in metric database view

I'm trying to change the Value field for a report on a metric table for Universal Requests. I believe I'm doing everything correctly, but the column/variable name in the database view isn't changing. 

I've tried using the prefixes to see if there's a problem, but the file literally will not save unless I use "Value" as the element.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

-O-, thank you for your help. I've unfortunately had to backlog this for now. You were correct about the record deletion, and I'm pretty sure the other half of my problem is that this is a derived variable. So I'll mark your reply as the solution for now and will investigate further later. I'll try to update this thread if I solve it.

Thanks for marking the answer as a solution.

To translate a variable's label all you need to do is select the language in your profile (for which you want to create the translation), open the variable definition form, update the label and save the variable definition form.

Of course after that you can revert the current language to your preferred one.
