Manually added approval state is showing as Not yet Requested

Hi All,

When adding the approval manually from the related list by clicking on 'Edit', the state is showing as 'Not Yet Requested'.

I would like to show it as 'Requested' how this can be achieved?

Hi,

So you can have before insert business rule on sysapproval_approver which would set the state to requested. try this and let me know.

you would have to revisit this business rule once your approval process comes into place

But why you would want to add approvers manually? Is there not any process in place which would set the approver?

Currently we do not have. we would be doing it in near future but currently it is being added manually from the related list, so wanted to show 'Requested' instead of 'Not yet requested' when they add.
