Is there a way to populate a drop-down on a form using an internal API? I am aware of a method that uses an external API URL as a variable within a catalog client script. Our API's have to pass security before we can use them, hence the internal method I am seeking.

The idea here is a list of college courses with available seats will auto-populate on page load. We are pulling this course info from a third-party that is authenticating through our mid-server.
