Service Portal Announcement banner in html format

Hi, 

I am trying to figure out how to set "Announcement" banner in Service Portal show not just one single line text. I have a requirement to show multiple text lines on portal announcement banner,

as written on  "summary field" in screen shot

Currently it shows only as one line in SP. I have  found a workaround to post multiple announcement from HI, but this will not solve the main issue.

Any idea to convert the  text to HTML ?

Hi Novira,

I think there is not way to achevie it, this is just the expected behaviour, this feature does not support multiple lines or the use of code tags to perform line breaks, as described in the official documentation by ServiceNow:

Service Portal Announcement text display in one line

Please try to convince the person who asked this requirement to keep the message in a single line.

Hello,

Could you possibly use the HTML widget itself rather than the announcement widget? I'm not sure if they are looking for that, but it would give you more control over the layout/appearance of the message.

Thank you for responses. 

I tried with HTML widget, but have not figured out how the widget can automatically take input value from announcements summary fields, without more configuration inside HTML widget for better layout. I dont think its a good idea if user needs to adjust layout via widget option. 

Instead suggested as alternatives to keep annoucement as a single line in portal with URL to more information in KB page.
