ServiceNow Widget for Creating CSM Cases from an ITSM Portal

Hi,

 

Our company wants to give employees from our Stores the option to open Cases directly for our ServiceCenter and additionally list these cases similar to ITSM on a portal.

As we are pretty new to ServiceNow we thought about creating two widgets for these purposes.

 

Is this a good way to go or should we consider something different? While searching for the Topic, I stumbled over this page Anonymous CSM Case Creation — ServiceNow Elite but the Script does not work.

 

Some Advice or Documentation Pages would be very much appreciated.

Creating cases can simply be done by adding a record producer for cases on the portal. And if you show a 'my tasks' widget, it will include all tasks, including cases. What kind of portal are you using? Since you are talking about employees from your stores, the employee center would be a great place to start for you, I think.

Final Build is right now:
Record Producer on one Portal Page
Widget for "my Tasks" on another Portal page

I had to adjust some queries but it works and I unfortunately could not use the Employee Center BUT I started discussing if we should switch all of our internal Topics there or not.

Your answer gave me the direction and approach I needed, thank you very much.
