Subcategories in service portal catalog

Hey everyone,

I noticed in the service portal that the service catalog doesn't seem to support sub categories. All the subcategories in the catalog are in the sidebar with the main categories. Is there a way to change that? Or would I have to write something custom?

Yes... that is how it works in the Service Portal haha... I've already raised it as an issue with the team. The same problem exists in knowledge base. I'm working on a new set of widgets for Service Portal that addresses these issues along with several others. If you're interested shoot me an email I can show you some of what we've done.

I got a widget showing categories & subcategories in the Service Portal Service Catalog.

Istanbul seems to have this OOB now. Here is an example from my PDI

Have to click on the little folder icon to expand thou.

Seems to exist in Helsinki as well. perhaps come with a patch or something.. you can set it in the options for the widget instance.

My instance of Istanbul is not showing the same category layout option that you have pictured above.   How did you get that turned on?
