Good morning developers,
I have a question regarding the delegate feature in ServiceNow. We're finally trying to use the delegate feature for managers/supervisors to set someone as their delegate when they are on vacation or out sick. I set up a catalog item on the Service Portal and have the fields on the portal mapped to the fields on the sys_user_delegate table. My question is, am I supposed to do something else (such as building a workflow, script, etc.) because I see that the record is created on the table but when my manager sets me as his delegate, all approvals and notifications are still going to him? I checked the start and end dates and made sure the checkboxes were checked but its still not working. Even setting up a delegate inside the platform isn't working.
Can someone share some guidance on this issue?
Best regards,
cnharris

Hi,
Make sure your manager selected Approval and CC notifications check box in the delegate record. Refer this URL for more details

Thanks palanikumar for responding!
One more question, I created a change request ticket and clicked on Request Approval. On the approvers tab, my manager's name is still listed there instead of mine, even though I'm his delegate. Is it supposed to function that way?
Best regards,
