what is difference between Platform/ Workspace UI Type in Table Configuration of Search Context in Contextual search?

Hi all,

When we are creating a new Table Configuration in any Search context of Contextual search in Servicenow, for the field 'UI Type', we get 2 options : Platform/ Workspace. Ex : 

https://devXXXXX.service-now.com/cxs_table_config.do?sys_id=b3ca5632c32121005655107698ba8fba&sysparm...

Could you please help me understand the difference between the Platform and Workspace UI Types and which 1 to be selected in which situation?

Hi,

The Platform selection is in regard to a platform form, which is 99% of the time what you'd want to pick. The workspace UI is for specific areas of ServiceNow that use workspaces (which are separate from the platform as far as UI -- in a sense...it's sort of like a scoped app, but not literally).
