Hello @a41022639 ,
Incident is always an interruption or when something has broken down whereas HR case always may not be an issue, it may be an inquiry raised by an employee.

Hi @a41022639,
In ServiceNow, a HR case typically involves employee-related matters such as benefits, leaves, or grievances. On the other hand, an incident in ServiceNow usually refers to any unplanned interruption or reduction in quality of an IT service, like a server outage or software glitch.
Please accept my solution if it resolves your issue and thumps 👍 up
Thanks
