I have a form where I need to add some instructional text that must always display. I created a variable, but when I went into the Form Design, all that displays in the list on the left are fields.
What is the best way to fulfill my requirement?
Thanks,
Mike

You can use "Description" in catalog item configuration to show text for users when they order items.

You can use form annotations to add text to form.

Form Design is for manipulating fields on the form and doesn't display actual values (only fields' names).
Annotations will be displayed once you access one of the records.

This is a catalog item. I'm able to add an annotation to the various views, but can't find out where to add it to the item when the user first brings it up for submission, which is where the text is needed. The menu with the three horizontal lines doesn't appear on that form.
