We’re excited to announce the May 2023 store releases of Employee Center and Employee Center Pro, now available for customers to install. This blogpost summarizes the key new features and enhancements included with this release.
Download the latest Employee Center (version 29.0.1) or Employee Center Pro (version 28.0.3), apps from ServiceNow Store to get access to the below features and enhancements. Enhanced personalization and configuration options for Employee Profile page
In our San Diego release, we introduced the new Employee Profile page experience that aggregates and personalizes employee data, making it easy to find and engage with co-workers. Now we have enhanced that experience to provide additional configuration options for admins and personalization options for employees.
With the May’23 release, portal admins can configure a tabbed user interface to better structure employee data based on various categories, such as overview, work items, benefits, etc.
Admins can define their own tab structure and what data widgets are available under each tab. They can also configure the visibility of these widgets to – employee only, manager only, employee and manager, everyone or by user criteria.
Additionally, employees can further personalize their own public profile by specifying the visibility of widgets to Me only, Me and my manager or everyone. Admins would need to specify which widgets employees can personalize. Employees can see the default/set visibility for each widget on their profile page. The public profile for the employees is generated based on the configurations done by the admin and the employee.
Note: You must be on San Diego Patch 10 or Tokyo Patch 5 or Utah family releases and download the new Employee Profile app from the ServiceNow store to get these enhancements. Additionally, you must opt-in to Employee Profile. Refer to the Employee Profile product docs for additional details on how to opt-in to employee profile.
Employee Center integration with Zoom
In our November 2022 release, we made Employee Center available with Zoom. Organizations who use Zoom as its primary engagement channel can leverage this integration to meet where employees are.
In our May 2023 release, we have published the Employee Center for Zoom application on the Zoom Marketplace. This will help streamline the installation flow and improve discoverability of the app by employees.
