Adding "personal notifications feed" icon (or shortcut) at the top of ESC

Hi,

So like the community here, there is this bell icon which show's the notifications. Is there a way of replicating this on the ESC portal? If so, any advise on how?

What is the back-end table to get the notification feed for the particular logged in user?

Thanks.

Did you ever find out the answer to this question? Running into this requirement as well right now.

Hi,

I believe that would require a customization of the EC Theme > EC Header stylesheet to add the component just as SP to render the new page plus widget.

But looking at the documentation I saw that the News widget from EC also holds the announcements:

More detailed info on this widget:

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/vancouver-employee-service-management/page/product/employee-cente...

So I'm guessing that the OOB way would be using this widget in particular instead of customizing it. As for your question, the table name is announcement and you can find it by typing it in on the filter navigator: Service Portal > Announcements.

If you found my answer helpful or correct in any way, please don't forget to mark it to help future readers! 👍
