Can new catalog item auto connect with topics in Employee center?

There is an option to check for new content in categories in Topic form. Is there any scheduled job or any background workflow to auto check new catalog items or knowledge articles created in connected categories?

 

If there is no OOB settings, how can we setup the automation? 

Is there anyway to quickly validate if a catalog item is connected with any topic in Employee center?

I suggest you go through the other topics in around those topics.

There is no present automation related to that, you can create custom automation in case you want to link catalog item with existing topic or topic categories. However I still insist on relying on manual activity as each catalog item cannot be linked to same topic or topic category.

there is no automation in OOTB. you can check here for catalog item is connected with any topic in Employee center

The short answer is no - How should an automation define which topic a catalog item belongs to?

If a category is already connected with a topic, then a new catalog item is created within this category, will the new item get connected with the topic automatically?
