Cloned taxonomy not appearing on Employee center portal.

I created a dev instance and cloned the employee taxonomy as instructed in this YouTube video.

When I replace the employee taxonomy with the cloned taxonomy, it does not appear on the employee portal. 

its an exact clone of ootb employee but renamed.

Any help?

Hi,

Did you try to add some catalog items/knowledge articles/Quick links  to your taxonomy? Until unless there's no content in your taxonomy , it wont appear on the Header Menu.

Also, once you do it, you need to logout and login for it to appear.

I created a clone of employee and called it acme employee and swapped the taxonomy in portal configuration. 

when I change it back to employee it appears on the portal, when I change it to acme employee it does not appear.

Logging in and out doesn't make a difference.

Hi,

Did you try to associate the new taxonomy to esc portal? As only one taxonomy can be associated to one portal

Yep . Thats where I have the issue. I can clone employee and call it employee 1 , no changes other then cloning and renaming  . I then go to portal configuration and remove employee , save , then add employee 1. 

when i refresh the portal or even log out and log back in, I dont have a mega menu, it only shows get support on the right hand side.
