Hi All,
Our customer who is moving to EC Pro wants to have a ‘waffle’ on the top left side of the Employee center header, to recreate functionality provided by Microsoft (they are moving from a SharePoint intranet to EC Pro).
We have already discussed about OOB My applications widget that EC Pro provides, but they are not comfortable using that for O365 applications. I am attaching the screenshot from SharePoint site and this is exactly how they want to see it on employee center header. Also logged in user should only see the applications that user has access to in SharePoint. Has anybody implemented this or have any insights on how we should fulfill this requirement? Note: Customer is already aware of potential upgrade risks with this customization.

Hi @neha_chauhan - I have many examples of customers replacing their SharePoint intranet portals with EC Pro and I can show you if you want to reach out to me directly. Almost all of them are using AppLauncher to show the employees only applications they should have access to and then direct them to those applications with SSO. Many of the examples show different styles and layouts of the AppLauncher widget with access to O365 applications and other enterprise applications, including one here. Paramount also has the waffle style icon in their header just like you describe. Stayed tuned for the results of the best employee portal contest which we will publish on Friday, May 10th for even more examples that we can share like the one below.

Hi @neha_chauhan - Please reach out to me directly through email and we'll try to schedule a virtual meeting after K24. The week of May 13th will work best for me. I am not technical, but I can show you examples. In fact, we will post quite a few examples from the Best Employee Portal Contest on Friday, May 10th in a blog in the EC Product Hub area of the Community.
