End Users Can't View Approval Details in Employee Center

Good Morning!

I have a question that there appears to be several post on, but seems like the responses may be a bit outdated. We have requirements where users without roles (our end users) occasionally need to perform approvals on RITM records. They do receive the email notifications which takes them to the approval in the employee center. However, they cannot view the additional details for what they need to approve/reject.

Users with the 'itil' role can view these details out of box. I saw some posts stating the 'approval_user' role was needed, but this did not resolve with my test user. Is there another ACL or role they would need and if so is there licensing around that we would have to confirm with our partner?

To allow end users to view approval details in Employee Center for RITM records:

  • Assign the 'approval_user' role to the end users.
  • Verify that the 'approval_user' role has appropriate permissions through Access Control Lists (ACLs) to read approval-related records.
