Enhanced chat always open full page

I’m working on a YP3 instance where I’ve enabled Enhanced Chat. However, the chat window always opens in full-page mode, even though I’ve already disabled the "Allow the search bar to open into a full-page chat experience" option.
Despite this, it still launches as full-screen every time. I’m trying to get it to open in a resizable window instead.
Any guidance on where and how to configure this correctly would be much appreciated!
