How do I go about renaming and hiding (or removing) items from Popular Topics in ESC?

To rename topics u can go to this table "topic_list" find the appropriate topic based upon taxonomy & rename it.
Coming to removing the unwanted ones u can do Ctrl + Right Click on the screen of the portal to open the widget something like this, once open there u will see number of topics display that u can modify to the number u want.
