Is it possible to to redirect a mega menu item to a specific URL ?  For example I need to redirect hardware and software to KB article page, how can we achieve this requirement?

Its not possible, we have to modify the requirement and work accordingly.

@Gaurav Rotke1 I have not come across this functionality out of the box unfortunately. There are options to create quick links and assign them to topics, and there are options to add quick link widgets into topic pages.

 

What exactly is the requirement you have? Do you require users review a KB article before they proceed to requests for hardware and software? 

Hi @Dan O Connor, Thanks for replying. I need to redirect options which appear in the mega menu to their respective Knowledge bases. I am unable to come up with the solution for this, is it even possible to do that?

Are all your Mega Menu topics just Knowledge base articles, or do they contain catalog items?

 

With Taxonomy and Topics in Employee Center it's important to understand it's a new user experience and UI, so it's not necessarily 'meant' to tie back into like a SP view or Platform view of a Knowledgebase. 

 

If your Topics are just Knowledge Base articles, then you can just add the relevant KB articles to the Topic through connected content. 

 

If your Topics contain both KB articles and Catalog items, and you HAVE to render a KB first, then you are probably going to run into some issues. Also I can't really understand the logic of this. It can be common for maybe articles to be required reading before maybe submitting an item, but that can be achieved through using Featured Content, or rendering the Kb article from the request itself. 

 

Sandeep below has given a suggestion of how you could achieve this, just worth noting that suggestion will create Menu Items on the Top Header, not in the Mega Menu.
