Menu URL to external site not working

Hi,

Im trying to create a menu URL item on the Employee Center with an external URL. For example cnn.com.

One of a way the url target attribute _blank is being ignored.. so Servicenow now add www.cnn.com (or partly) behind the normal / existing url. 

Anybody has anythoughts how to solve this?

If it will be fixed, I would expect it to be part of the store update and not a regular hot fix/patch. For the current version, Employee Center 23.0.5, this still does not work. For Employee Center Pro I haven't tried.

Well, im working with Emp Pro.. where it is not working. 

I have a small different question for you Mark.. as you are the guru on Empl pro in Europe/Netherlands. Do you know if there is any article/blog/OOTB etc. documents or can be used.. for a proper News Widget. So the news widget can pull source from Sharepoint news or other websites automatically. Pre-sales are showing widgets like the below one in their demos.. but i cant find this one from OOTB or any documents. In the last Employee Center Academy (Employee Center Academy: Content Experiences and Content Publishing - YouTube) this topic have been on purposed skipped.
