Need a report that will show number of views of the portal of Employee Service Centre  by month and by topic category. The views should be by month and by topic category.

You'll need to first configure User Experience Analytics (https://docs.servicenow.com/csh?topicname=set-up-user-exp-analytics.html&version=latest) After enabled you configure Service Portal/Employee Center for use with with it (https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0994573) There is a "Top Events' you can drill down into to see if this provides you the data you need.
